Precious Metal Refining Co., Ltd. (PMR) established its Supply Chain Policy to avoid purchasing any Conflict Minerals and Metals from its supply chain.

Conflict Minerals and Metals are materials, which through their mining, production, or supply, whether knowingly or inadvertently, benefitted illegal armed groups or are in any way contributing to conflict or human rights abuses such as:

  • All form of cruelty, torture, inhuman treatment.
  • All form of forced or compulsory labor.
  • All forms of child labor.
  • All forms of gross human rights violations and abuses such as sexual violence.

PMR’s policy for conflict free supply chain management:

  1. PMR will purchase “Precious Metal Material” from reputable suppliers with long term history and relationship or from suppliers with adequate due diligence as part of “Know Your Counterparty” procedure. The Precious Metal Material shall include all refined and unrefined precious metals, and any material containing precious metal such as minerals and industrial scraps for examples.
  2. In all cases, due diligence will be conducted on the supplier and supply chain to ensure that the supply is genuine, legitimate and does not in any way contribute to conflict or human rights abuses. PMR will consider terminating business relation with the counterparties who are unwilling to comply with our policy.
  3. PMR procurement process of Precious Metal Material from conflict area are governed by local and international regulation including any governmental mandates.
  4. PMR adhere to company’s “Material Supply Due Diligence Guideline” to ensure social and economic development when purchasing Precious Metal Material from high risk and conflict area.
  5. PMR establish due diligence for responsible supply chains of Precious Metals Material from conflict-affected and high-risk areas according to OECD 5-Step framework.
  6. PMR implement supply chain traceability program for Precious Metal Material sourcing to help ensure transparency in the Precious Metal Material supply chain.
  7. PMR regularly visit selected supplier site to audit their credibility.
  8. PMR implement risk management strategy as defined by the OECD Guidance and tracks the performance of the risk mitigation program. In the event if unacceptable practices are identified, the strategies include suspending or terminate supplies in questions.
  9. PMR will not offer unlawful gift or reward to any stakeholders in order to secure the supply of Precious Metal Material.
  10. PMR implement and strictly adhere to its policies and procedures to avoid the risk of bribery and fraud within its organization and in connection with its dealings with all the stakeholders.
  11. PMR will communicate to the stakeholders to ensure that they do not take part in operations related to conflict or armed violence. This includes the misuse of any public or private security forces assigned for the protection of staff, assets and operations to affect such conflict or violence. In failing to do so, PMR will consider terminating any and all business relation with the particular stakeholder who is non-compliance.
  12. PMR’s policy fully comply with all applicable anti-money laundering and counterterrorist financing laws ("AML Laws"), and it is our intension that any third parties we engaged to act on our behalf do the same. PMR will only conduct business with the stakeholders who have legitimate business practice and whose funds are derived from legitimate sources.
  13. PMR clearly communicate complaint channel in order to detect and prevent any irregularity that may lead to unfair treatment on the customer or supplier by PMR staff. The complaint and any evident can be emailed directly to philaiwa.lertw@pmrgold.com and prame@pmrgold.com for confidentiality. All complaint will be investigated on anonymous basis and information will be use to further improve PMR operations.

To protect our employee, PMR set a target to eliminate work related incident to zero by establishing the occupational health and safety policy as follows.

  1. Strictly adhere to all laws, regulations, and industry standards in occupational health and safety.
  2. Provide adequate training and skill building for safe and effective work environment.
  3. Promote and facilitate employee and contractor participation in occupational health and safety program to reduce and mitigate risk in the workplace including improving and auditing the safety management system.
  4. Prevent work related safety incidence and accident including reducing chance of work related injury and illness that may impact the ability to work.
  5. Continuously Improve safety in the workplace to achieve high standard in occupational health and safety.
  6. Management and all employees are directly responsible to work safely and manage all risk according to all law and related regulation in occupational health and safety.

PMR implemented systematic Environmental Preservation Policy with strict Environmental Management that adapt to improvement in environmental technology, law, regulation and the ever changing environmental problems and associated risk.

  1. Strictly adhere to all laws, regulations, and industry standards in environmental protection to minimized impact from our operations to the environment.
  2. Prevent accidental emission of untreated waste water and air emission to the environment.
  3. Prevent/minimize chance of accident and prepare for emergency response to minimize any potential impact to the environment. /li>
  4. Promote environmental impact reduction by applying the concept of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle within the organization.
  5. Promote waste sorting for the ease of waste management.
  6. Promote training and indoctrination for all employee regarding environmental management.
  7. Support Environmental Management and continue to improve

Please report any grievance direct to PMR management via phone, email, or by submitting the completed the grievance form.

PMR Implemented the Energy Management to reduce energy consumption and help reduce energy related environmental impact. At PMR, it is everyone on going responsibility to sustainably manage the energy usage. PMR Energy Management Policy are as follows:

  1. PMR implement appropriate Energy Management System and energy conservation as part of our operations. It is everyone responsibility to cooperate and comply to all law and regulation.
  2. PMR continue to improve its energy efficiency that is appropriate to its operation technology and business practice.
  3. PMR review the objective plan and target for energy conservation on the yearly basis in order to systematically improve the energy efficiency.
  4. PMR communicate information on its energy management so that the employee understand and participate in the energy program to follow up analyze assess audit and report the information to management.
  5. PMR support appropriate level of human resource, equipment, budget, time, communication media, and training to improve employee knowledge in energy management.
  6. PMR promote employee participation and input to further improve energy management including energy conservation measure.
  7. PMR utilize appropriate equipment or service for energy conservation and improve the system accordingly.
